Key industry figures confirmed for Women Thought Leaders session at Prolific North Live

A host of industry leaders will be appearing at Prolific North Live as part of a special Women Thought Leaders session.

Now just over six weeks away, the two-day expo returns for a third year on February 28th and March 1st.

It will again be hosted at Event City in Trafford Park, Manchester.

The Women Thought Leaders session, which will take place on Thursday March 1st and be sponsored by the CIM, brings together some of the leading female lights from the Northern creative sector.

They are:







  • Nicky is CEO of BJL Group, a leading independent agency. Working with clients including Children in Need, Subaru, Asda, Ronseal, Swinton, Skipton Building Society and Whyte and Mackay. With a reputation for building strategic creative solutions for brands, the agency operates from two locations – Manchester and London. Nicky has a long-standing career in advertising and marketing and is an active supporter of industry initiatives. She is Honorary Secretary of the IPA, a member of The Manchester Growth Company’s Internationalisation and Marketing Board and is Chair of Tribe Global, the international network. She is also a Patron of NABS and is a trustee of the UK based charity Village by Village. 
  • Originally starting her career as a receptionist, Sue Little joined McCann Manchester in 1985 as a Media Group Head specialising in retail and direct media planning, and three years later became Executive Media Director, launching the first Universal McCann in the UK, which then became the largest media buying point outside London. She moved into agency management in 1998, becoming MD and subsequently CEO of McCann Manchester and has since created the largest integrated agency in the UK employing more than 370 people. Clients include Aldi, CrossCountry Trains, Well Pharmacy, Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, Smyths Toys Superstores and Wyndham Vacation Rentals.

  • Having previously worked for Unilever and Hallmark Cards, Chloe has spent five years at Kellogg’s and is currently eCommerce Business Manager UK







  • In 2015, Sandy was honoured in the Queen’s birthday list for services to business and young people and the same year also saw her named North West Director of the Year (SME) and Highly Commended in the same award, nationally, by the Institute of Directors. She is passionate about creating quality career opportunities for young people and has launched and grown myriad job creation programmes over the last decade. Her latest – the award-winning Juice Academy social media / digital marketing apprenticeship – has created more than 250 roles in leading businesses across the North West. She also chairs skills groups for the North West Institute of Directors and the North West Business Leadership Team, is a national Ambassador for Apprenticeships and a member of the North West Business Leadership Council of Teach First.

  • Cat Lewis is CEO of Nine Lives Media, her own TV production company based in MediaCity which she has run in the North for over 10 years.  She is passionate about the importance of television being made throughout the UK. She is also Chair of the Royal Television Society in the North West, a Global Ambassador for Manchester and former Vice Chair of TV’s trade body PACT.

  • Catherine is the Founder and CEO of Savvy Marketing.  She founded Savvy in 2006 and has grown the business to become a leading award winning agency. The company of 80+ people works with a broad base of clients both in the UK and globally. After graduating with a degree in retail marketing, Catherine has focussed her career in the retail marketing space working in both client and agency organisations. As an active member of both the Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM) and the The Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD), and Chair of the Promotional Marketing and Direct  Response panel of the ASA,  Catherine is a well-established expert in shopper marketing. She’s also a regular spokesperson for retail news stories and debates on high profile programmes including BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours, and amongst the retail and marketing trade press.
