YouTube channel with 4.5m monthly viewers expands Manchester operations

BluMaan, the world’s leading men’s hair brand on YouTube, is expanding its operations in Manchester.

The channel, which attracts more than 4.5 million viewers per month, is opening a new office at WeWork St Peter’s Square, having previously been at WeWork Spinningfields.

BluMaan has also taken on two new staff: Benjamin Massey, who will create original content and has joined through a collaboration with Salford University, and Tom Ainscough, who will be working with global brands to present content, messages, and stories.

Joseph Andrews started the YouTube channel from his bedroom, but his team now consists of four members of staff in Manchester and 12 in Vancouver.

He said: “It’s fantastic that we’re able to situate ourselves in a WeWork office space. There is so much room for collaboration and partnerships.

“Meanwhile our move into this new space in St Peter’s square shows the growth of a YouTube based media and cosmetics company”.

Boyd added: “It’s great to see growth within the media sector from small companies like us. The passion which Joseph has put into the business has given us a platform to show that some of the most exciting media content/ businesses can be local startups fighting on the big stage.”
