The new ABC figures have been released this afternoon, naming the Yorkshire Post as the fastest growing regional online publication.
However, the figures don’t include Manchester Evening News or other Reach titles, as they don’t submit figures.
Reach is the largest regional publisher, which means the ABCs only including web stats from Johnston Press, Archant and Newsquest.
Yorkshire Post had a 43% increase in online readership, compared to Eastern Daily Press in second place, with growth of just 16%.
However, the Yorkshire Post is some way down the list when it comes to daily average unique browsers – 58,654.
The Scotsman leads at 138,733, this is followed by Yorkshire Evening Post (107,064); Eastern Daily Press; and Sheffield Star (101,700). The Bradford Telegraph & Argus was at 66,765, while The Northern Echo reached 63,079.
