Europe’s leading ice brand, The Ice Co, has released a new ‘company video’ to show audiences what goes on inside its huge ice manufacturing facility.
Shot on location at the company’s South Kirkby plant in West Yorkshire, the six-minute mockumentary opens with The Ice Co’s managing director, Polly Metcalfe, casually sat in an ice bath, before taking viewers inside the company’s adjoining warehouse and factory.
Featuring a special appearance from the company mascot, The Ice Cube Dude, together with staff from marketing, the factory, operations and the board of directors, the video satires the business’ obsession with creating great quality ice, and its commitment to ensuring ice is used, served and enjoyed in the correct way.
The tongue-in-cheek video was produced by creative communications agency, Hatch, who were challenged with creating a light-hearted video which encapsulated the brand’s fun and cheeky personality.
Intended to educate and entertain new employees joining The Ice Co, as well as key stakeholders, the Office-inspired video also shines a light on the business’ vision, long-term goals and objectives, including its current sustainability programme.
MD and star Metcalfe said: “We are constantly growing and evolving as a business, and we wanted our company video to grow with us. We needed a sharable, fun video that represents our brand’s personality, and the pride, passion and humility each member of the team brings to work every day.
“We know that company videos can often feel a little stale, so we wanted to do things differently, and most importantly, have fun with it.”
