Yorkshire-based games developer Team17 has reported “strong sales momentum” in the second half of 2018.

The Wakefield company launched on London’s AIM market last year with a market capitalisation of £217m.

In a trading update this morning, it said it had benefited from strong sales of third party titles such as Overcooked 2 – as well as its back catalogue – and that revenues were “ahead of expectations” and adjusted EBITDA “at the upper end of market expectations”.

Team17, which will report its full-year results on March 19th, said it had a number of game launches planned for 2019, including My Time at Portia, Genesis Alpha One and The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout.

Last year it reported a revenue surge to £29.6m from £13.5m the previous year, with adjusted EBITDA increasing to £12.9m from £6.1m.
