Nublue was behind the online launch of the first range of shoes to incorporate Graphene in their rubber.
The Lancaster agency has been working with inov-8 since they originally announced the G Series project back in December last year.
The collaboration with the University of Manchester was to develop more durable sports shoes. According to tests, the G-Series, which will be available to buy from tomorrow, have outlasted 1000 miles and are 50% harder wearing.
Nublue developed an international countdown, given users a geo-specific countdown, that redirected to the G Series landing page, on its midnight release.
The agency also produced a website for the 3 products, full screen views reveal the innovative footwear in detail, whilst hotspots showcase each shoe’s key features.
“It’s been really exciting working with an internationally recognised brand such as inov-8. The whole team is passionate and 100% behind the brand – we have felt like we are a real extension of their own internal team. Helping inov-8 to evolve with this ground-breaking step is fantastic!” said Nublue account manager, Megan O’Todd.
The trainers will also be available in 250 stores around the world.
“We’re combining science and innovation together with entrepreneurial speed and agility to go up against the major sports brands – and we’re going to win,” stated inov-8 CEO Ian Bailey.
“We are at the forefront of a graphene sports footwear revolution and we’re not stopping at just rubber outsoles. This is a four-year innovation project which will see us incorporate graphene into 50% of our range and give us the potential to halve the weight of running/fitness shoes without compromising on performance or durability.”
