West Yorkshire Playhouse has unveiled its new identity, created by Leeds agency Chilli UK.
Chilli, which was appointed in May after a four-way pitch, was tasked with “capturing the spirit and the venue’s standing” as the theatre celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The rebrand includes a new Playhouse logo, a full range of marketing collateral and a new website.
David Whittle, MD of Chilli, said: “We’re delighted with the new creative brand as the iconic Playhouse announces a new season line up, as it perfectly captures a unique look and feel, which showcases the storytelling, collaboration and the inclusive nature of the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
“It was vital that the brand review really captured how the WYP enriches the lives of so many people.”
Nick Hallam, marketing director of West Yorkshire Playhouse, added: “Chilli really captured the essence of what the Playhouse is all about and the new identity and collateral has given us renewed confidence in what we are all about – the home of incredible stories.
“This is what makes West Yorkshire Playhouse such a powerhouse and with a fantastic new creative identity to launch our new autumn season I’m sure our audiences will find a real vigour to Playhouse productions.”
