The PHA Group, which has offices in Manchester and Leeds, has announced its appointment by The New Saints FC, perhaps better known as TNS, the most successful football team in the history of the Welsh football pyramid.
The New Saints FC have tasked The PHA Group with helping to raise the profile of the club both on and off the field of play, as it looks to generate support ahead of an exciting end to the season and the start of a potential campaign in the UEFA Champions League.
The press office and social media brief will include supporting the club’s in-house communication team across various social channels, player profiling, thought leadership, and shining a light on the fantastic work the TNS Foundation does in the wider community.
The New Saints FC are the Welsh JD Cymru Premier’s only professional side, and with 14 league titles to their name and the record number of European appearances by any Welsh side, they’re a club with a fantastic history rooted in Welsh football. Further, with one of the league’s most prominent Women’s teams and a nationally-recognised youth development set-up, the club remains accessible to players from all backgrounds as it continues to provide a place for those in the area and beyond to compete at the highest level of the professional game.
The club also takes pride in the work done by its foundation, which acts as a charitable organisation aiming to engage with the local community and provide positive educational experience for people young and old in sport and beyond.
Providing the community with access to the club’s state of the art facility for various events and activities, including the use of the ground as a safe space for children to enjoy sport during the school holidays, The New Saints Foundation is continuously looking for ways to embed itself into the community and help those in the surrounding area.
Commenting on the appointment, TNS chairman, Mike Harris, said: “The PHA Group’s reputation in the sports industry and experience working with professional sports organisations really stood out to me, so I’m absolutely delighted to be working with them as we prepare for potentially some of the biggest fixtures in our history over the coming months.”
Daniel Apostolos, senior account director at The PHA Group, addeed: “We are delighted to be chosen as The New Saints FC’s partner ahead of what is a truly exciting time for the club. It’s been amazing to watch the development of Welsh football over the last few years and The New Saints FC have been at the forefront of that throughout. We’re looking forward to helping one of the country’s most recognisable teams achieve their off-field goals and reach new fans around the world.”
