Manchester PR agency, We Are Indigo, has its eyes set on international expansion, as it appoints a new Managing Director.

That role will be taken by Joanne Greer, who’s been promoted from Senior Account Director.

Its international growth begins with a new office in Ibiza, which is being led by Eva Cortes. Cortes joins from the UFi Indie Music Awards, where she was Communications and Content Manager. She’s also worked on Comms and PR for Vice Iberia and been Culture Communications Manager for Red Bull Spain.

We Are Indigo already has a number of clients on the island, including Hotel Riomar, Can Sastre, Chiringuito Blue, La Llama and Izakaya Kitchen + Bar.

As the agency marks its 10th anniversary, co-founders Gemma and Matthew Krysko have their eyes set on further international growth, with plans to open in Amsterdam and New York “in the not-too-distant future.”

Closer to home, it has also acquired a Liverpool base.

Following its work with The Warehouse Project, #WeMakeEvents and The First Dance by CIRCUS – the first post lockdown club night, the agency will make a further push into the music sector with a dedicated team, next year.

“After an extremely turbulent year, being hit very badly by the pandemic, which practically wiped out the best part of our whole business, we have now come out of it stronger by staying positive, having faith in what we do, and constantly seeking ways to put our skills to best practice during those dark times,” stated Co-Founder & Director Gemma Krysko.

“The opportunity to work on The First Dance meant we were faced with doing very grown-up PR. It’s the biggest project we’ve ever worked on, with unprecedented global attention it was tough and demanding but it’s what we are passionate about, so we cracked on and it was such a beautiful moment to see people back on the dancefloor.”
