Legendary boxing announcer, Michael Buffer has been filming in Wigan for Sky Sports ahead of the Las Vegas showdown between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves.
Buffer appears alongside a host of rugby league legends, a couple of mascots and a tearful England legend in the film.
In it, the 80 year old takes centre stage to officiate the wedding between bride and groom, Sharon Jukes and John Synott.
However, he’s quickly upstaged by an audience including Warrington boss, Sam Burgess, England footballer – and lifelong Warrington Wolves fan – Stuart Pearce, Martin Offiah and Sky Sports presenter Brian Carney.
“I had a fantastic day meeting the people of Wigan and hearing how excited they are to have rugby league head over to Las Vegas next month,” said Buffer.
“Alongside Sky Sports, it’s been wonderful to be able to give those fans a taste of what they can expect on the other side of the pond, not least celebrating with John and Sharon on their special day.”
Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday 1 March.
