Emily Feller is set to join Warp Films later this month, as Chief Creative Officer.
The Sheffield indie has made the move following investment from the Channel 4 Indie Growth Fund late last year.
Feller joins from Big Light Productions, where she’s been Creative Director since 2017. She’s executive produced 2 series of Medici for Rai and Netflix, the second series of Devils for Sky and Leonardo which premiered on Amazon last year.
Before that she was at Manchester’s RED Production Company, ITV and Hat Trick Productions.
“Warp Films channel this creative freedom which I can’t wait to tap into,” she said.
“Mark and Peter have built an incredible company, known for its compelling drama and storytelling, and I’m passionately focused on helping to drive this ambitious growth forward.”
At the This Is England production company, she’ll work alongside joint CEOs, Mark Herbert and Peter Carlton, who added:
“We started the search for our Chief Creative Officer over a year ago and we are delighted Emily is now joining the Warp family. We needed someone with tenacity and huge ambition to deliver on our future plans within the Indie Growth Fund and Emily demonstrated this alongside her amazing creative flair and relationships.”
Established in 2002, Warp is behind films including Submarine, Four Lions and ’71, well as Everbody’s Talking About Jamie, The Last Panthers and Southcliffe.
