VisitLiverpool has launched its Let It Be Liverpool at Christmas campaign, inviting locals and visitors alike to experience the joy of the city’s holiday spirit, from seasonal events, to dazzling lights, and a host of unforgettable experiences.
Running throughout the Christmas season, Let It Be Liverpool at Christmas highlights the region’s festive events calendar including spectacular light displays, Christmas markets, family-friendly entertainment, and opportunities to support local businesses. The campaign not only showcases Liverpool as a premier city break destination for Christmas shopping and dining, but it also underscores the city’s rich cultural heritage, welcoming atmosphere, and traditional festive cheer.
Pamela Carroll, head of marketing at Marketing Liverpool said: “Liverpool is a city that knows how to celebrate, and this festive season we’re thrilled to bring that spirit to life with Let It Be Liverpool at Christmas.
“Visitors are invited to embark on a magical journey, making memories with family and friends to celebrate the excitement of the season with a packed calendar of festivities for all the family to enjoy, a diverse music and cultural scene, quality retail and Christmas market offer, hospitality ranging from fine dining to street food and hotels from budget to boutique. We can’t wait to welcome people to Liverpool this Christmas.”
Visitors will see Liverpool ONE transform into a winter wonderland featuring the popular Bar Hütte, a Christmas trail, events and lots of decorations. A 15ft version of the festive favourite Elf on the Shelf will appear at locations around the city for a giant version of the beloved Christmas tradition. The Liverpool Christmas Markets will take over St George’s Plateau once again whilst the Royal Albert Dock will light up the beautiful colonnades for the ultimate festive setting.
It doesn’t stop there for the Christmas fun as wild festive adventures take over Chester Zoo and Knowsley Safari with light trails. Pantos are popping up across the region with ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at Southport’s Atkinson Theatre, ‘Snow White’ at St Helens Theatre and ‘The Further Adventures of Peter Pan’ at The Floral Pavilion, while traditional festive shows and family friendly activities take place at Shakespeare North Theatre, Croxteth Hall and Liverpool Cathedral.
