Yorkshire animation firm Virtual Resolution has launched a virtual reality suite at its Elland headquarters as part of a strategy to become a centre of excellence for visual design.
The company has doubled the size of its Yorkshire team in the past 18 months.
MD Tim Power said: “We are very much on the road to being recognised as one of the UK’s leading specialists in using CGI and emerging technology to bring architectural design to life and engage audiences with a more immersive style of marketing.
“Thanks to our reputation for pushing the boundaries of animation and 3D visualisation we have been able to attract some of the best talent in the region and beyond and this has really supported our growth.
“The way consumers interact with everything from homes and hotels to conferences and events is changing and we want to be at the forefront of design and marketing innovation, enabling companies to experience for themselves how they can use of the latest visual tools to do things differently.”
The development of an HTC Vive demonstration area for clients within the firm’s 3,000 sq ft production studio in West Yorkshire will be used to educate businesses in the marketing and design possibilities offered by virtual reality technology. The firm recently worked with student accommodation provider Fusion Students to enable students to immerse themselves in a gaming style experience of university living with the help of VR headsets.
The company has also just been appointed by Aberdeen Football Club to work on digital media innovation for its new stadium and past projects.
