Versori appoints former Barclays tech lead as COO

Generative AI data integration platform Versori has appointed Will Jackson as chief operations officer.

Jackson brings a wealth of experience from technical consulting and programme management, predominantly in the financial services sector, notably with Accenture & Barlcays, where he contributed to several groundbreaking projects, including developing Virgin Money Bank’s proprietary credit card platform, where he was integral to the business development team and project management; spearheading the front-end app development of Apple Pay and Android Pay for Barclays Bank; leading the configurable cards program at Barclays allowing parents to manage child accounts with simple UI led functionality such as toggling on/off the ability to use an ATM, and heading Open Banking and Payments Services Directive 2 delivery at Barclays, which led to him becoming Head of API across all of Barclays UK.

After his successful tenure in finance, Will transitioned to the National Health Service (NHS), the world’s fifth-largest employer, as the head of API and platform engineering. During a significant digitisation initiative, he developed the NHS API Platform, digital onboarding service.

It was at an NHS Hackathon, where Versori emerged victorious with their AI integration assistant, that Will met Sean Brown, founder and CEO at Versori, and director of solutions Jamie Lever.

Brown said: “Having the experience and technical knowledge of Will at Versori, coupled with his exceptional leadership qualities has already elevated the company to a maturer state on so many levels. I can’t wait to see what Will achieves here.”

The appointment as COO coincides with a pivotal growth phase for Versori. Jackson will oversee the company’s IPaaS offering and core business functions, ensuring seamless operations for the existing customer base and managing day-to-day enhancements.

He said: “Not necessarily knowing what you’re going to do day to day is something that really excites me, and that’s when I work best—when I’m constantly challenged.

“I can see that everyone is so bought into and driven by the Versori goal, and it’s really impressive that Sean and Dan have managed to instil that culture into the company.”

Jackson will now play an integral role in the successful rollout of Versori’s Partnership Program and the development of new generative AI features, which are set to significantly impact the company’s trajectory and the future of AI integration software.
