Digital agency Userism has designed and built the new website for Manchester City Mission, one of the city’s oldest organisations.
The Mission, which was launched in 1837, is a Christian charity working to address societal issues through a range of projects. Its new website is aimed at educating current and new users of its work undertaken in and around Greater Manchester.
The platform supports a change in its brand positioning, with a new colour palette. It will act as a portal for news and information about the Mission for those looking to learn more and support it.
“When approached by the Mission, they had recently undergone a re-brand which introduced colour into their brand image which hadn’t previously been so prominent,” said Richard Silk, Userism’s Managing Director. “Our brief was to build on this and create a welcoming and engaging information hub to be used as a launchpad for sharing news and project information for all the good work they do.”
Terry Durose, Director of Manchester City Mission, added: “Userism’s emphasis on user experience made them the obvious choice for the project. As we worked our way through the pandemic, it became clear that some of our projects had to close and new ones had to be started up. This required a great deal of flexibility as our new site became something of a moving target. The end product was well worth the wait.”
