Cowgills has been appointed as the liquidators for Manchester social media marketing agency, Tunafish.

In a statement it was announced that Jason Mark Elliott, Craig Johns and Nick Brierley from Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery were being made joint liquidators “for the purposes of the voluntary winding up.”

A summary of its debts published on Companies House show that it owed HMRC £32,353, most of which (£28k) is VAT, the remainder is PAYE and National Insurance.

In total it owes almost £150,000 to creditors across:

Trade and Expense – £10,698.50

Landlord – £59,000

Rates – £15,410

Finance Creditors – £32,711

Last month, Tunafish’s co-owner Sam Jones, told Prolific North that he had “taken his eye off the ball” and that he was “probably done with the agency world.”

At its peak Tunafish employed 14 staff, but by the time of the liquidation, only its 3 founders remained at the company.
