True North has appointed Norma Wisnevitz, the former Senior Portfolio Manager at Channel 4’s Indie Growth fund, as its Chief Operating Officer.
The Leeds-based indie was one of the first to receive backing from the Growth Fund, in 2014.
Wisnevitz was previously Finance Director at Optomen Television, prior to its sale to All3Media.
“We’re delighted that Norma will be joining us. Her experience at the Growth Fund and in some of the UK’s most successful indies means that she knows what makes a production company tick, and her passion for production means she’s going to be a great addition to our team,” said True North Creative Director and Founder, Andrew Sheldon.
Her role at the company will be to work with its creative team to drive further growth, including expanding into the US and other international territories.
“I am thrilled to be joining the True North team at this exciting time for the Leeds production community as I have been an admirer of Jess and Andrew since the C4 growth fund investment,” added Wisnevitz.
