Cheshire-based consultancy Citation has appointed Duncan Painter, the chief executive of media company Top Right Group, as its new non-executive director.
Painter will remain in charge at Top Right, the parent group of Emap, i2i Events Group, 4C Group and Lions Festivals. It is jointly owned by the Guardian Media Group and private equity firm Apax.
His appointment follows the recent arrival of Citation CEO, Chris Morris, following ECI’s acquisition of the company in December 2012.
He has over 25 years’ experience, holding senior roles at BSkyB, Experian Marketing Services, Hitachi Data Systems and consumer intelligence company ClarityBlue.
Chris Morris, Citation CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Duncan to the Citation board. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in B2B and subscription businesses which will add great value to our plans for growth.
“We have built a strong senior management team and identified a strategy to dominate the HR and health and safety compliance market. The board and I are looking forward to working with Duncan to realise our growth ambitions.”
Citaton, which provides professional advice and compliance packages to more than 5,000 business clients, has over 200 staff.
