“Tinder for student housing” appoints agency ahead of US launch

Housr, the proptech start-up described as the Tinder for student housing, has matched with a new PR agency.

The Manchester-based student living company, will be working with PR Agency One to raise its profile on both sides of the Atlantic.

The company was established to streamline the process of finding a student property, and then organising and paying for utility bills.

It’s now about to complete its next funding round, which will help it expand into the USA and make hires.

“PR Agency One stood out as the perfect partner to help propel us on our mission to tackle the student housing and housing affordability crises in the UK and the US,” explained Harry Panter, co-founder & CEO at Housr.

“Its tech PR team has a brilliant understanding of our business, the industry, and how to amplify our key messages to the audiences we want to reach. As we grow in the coming months and years, we need a communications partner that can adapt and iterate with us.”

PR Agency One’s role will be to support the company and Panter in developing their profile through a strategic PR and social media campaign across earned media, video and content.

“Housr is an exciting business with incredible plans for the future – we’re thrilled to be on board to help Harry, Ben and the rest of the Housr team realise their ambitions. It’s time to put the tech scale-up on people’s radar in the UK and US, ahead of a year of significant milestones for the business,” said Rick Hollister, Account Director at PR Agency One.

“We have vast experience in raising the profile of tech start-ups and their founders as they scale, raise funding and acquire customers. We understand the marketing challenges start-ups face and are well-equipped to help them navigate the challenges of being an early-stage enterprise.”
