The Moon Under Water podcast returns with new host

Robbie Knox

The Moon Under Water is set to return with a brand new host as Robbie Knox takes over as landlord of the pub-based podcast.

Knox has previously produced content for his own channels and beyond as a writer, director, YouTuber and co-host of JaackMaate’s Happy Hour, and now his attentions are turned to breathing a new lease of life into the ‘pub of the mind.’

Rosie Holt, Lloyd Griffiths, Robin Ince and Tim Lovejoy are amongst the first names to join Robbie on the show, with plenty of other names from the world of comedy, music, food and television set to follow.

Earlier this year, after over 4m listens and over 100 episodes, award-winning comedian John Robins stepped down as presenter of the podcast of his own creation. He now passes the mantle onto Robbie, who takes over hosting duties of The Moon Under Water alongside friend and Taskmaster producer, Dan Trelfer.

The popular show will be returning to twice weekly releases, as the familiar interview-led format returns alongside a listener-focussed bonus episode later in the week.

Robbie comments: “Since I appeared on the show as a guest, The Moon Under Water has been one of my favourite podcasts, so I’m delighted to be taking over. I can’t wait to start releasing episodes and I look forward to the deluge of social media posts from people telling me how much they preferred John.”

The Moon Under Water is part of the Audio Always Originals network alongside podcasts including Help I Sexted My Boss with Jordan North and William Hanson, Secret Mum Club with Sophiena and the freshly launched Worst Case Scenario with Abi Clarke and Julia Stenton. The podcast will be available for commercial opportunities via Acast.

The new series of The Moon Under Water launches on September 11 and is available via all major podcasting platforms worldwide. The podcast releases weekly on Monday and Thursday.
