The Beatles soundtrack Adidas Euro 24 campaign

Adidas has released a 2 minute film ahead of Euro 24, soundtracked by The Beatles’ Hey Jude.

If you’re thinking it’s purely a Jude Bellingham reference, well you’re half right, the adidas athlete plays a major role.

Starting out with the traditional disappointment of an England performance in the competition, it builds through archive moments of iconic goals, from the likes of Paul Gascoigne to an image of the Bellingham and the tagline “You Got This.”

“The film captures the hearts and minds of a nation obsessed with football. Sport has the power to rally people together and be optimistic going into the tournament,” said Steve Marks, adidas’ Senior Director of Brand Communications.

“With this film we wanted to inspire athletes and fans alike to follow the example of Jude and his fellow players, to overcome the pressure and further fuel their love of the beautiful game.”

It features David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Stormzy, Laura Woods and Ian Wright.

The campaign was created by Johannes Leonardo in New York, with the film directed by Greg Hackett, who added:

“My earliest football memory is watching Euro 96 with my dad. Since then, I’ve watched every tournament, and there’s a lot of emotion when I think of what it means to be an England fan. We wanted to channel that in this film, showing that with Jude and the rest of this brilliant young England team, there is something to be hopeful for, something to be proud of.”
