TEDx will be returning to Oldham for the second time, with speakers ranging from astrophysicists to digital and video games experts.
The conference was originally intended to bring together the worlds of technology, entertainment and design, but its scope has since widened.
TEDxOldham features space scientist, Prof Monica Grady; Jodrell Bank’s Prof Tim O’Brien; video games journalist and senior video producer, Johnny Chiodini; Reason Digital’s Rebecca Rae; and Hack Oldham’s Andy Powell.
“TED is a brand recognised around the world and we are pleased that it is returning to the borough for the second time in three years,” said Councillor Barbara Brownridge, cabinet member for neighbourhoods and co-operatives.
“We’ve lined up some well-known national and local people to speak so we’re sure there will be something for everyone “
It takes place on Saturday 27th February at Oldham Library.
