The shortlist has been announced today for the 20th British Academy Children’s Awards.
They’re hosted by Doc Brown, who stars in Strange Hill High and 4 O’Clock Club, which are both made in the North West of England.
Leading the way with 3 nominations is Horrible Histories, however, those with 2 nominations are North East-based Wolfblood and The Dumping Ground ; All At Sea, which was shot in Scarborough and produced at MediaCityUK; and Swashbuckle, which is also filmed at Dock10.
CBeebies and CBBC are shortlisted in Channel of the Year, while Altrincham’s Factory, and Lime Pictures in Liverpool are up against one another in the Independent Production Company category.
