Stockport-based musicMagpie.co.uk has developed a new version of its iOS app enabling customers to buy refurbished tech and media from the musicMagpie Store as well as trade-in unwanted items.
Discounted phones from brands such as Apple, Samsung and HTC are available to buy on the app, as well as a range of other items such as MacBooks and wearables.
The trade-in element of the app, which was developed in-house, has also been enhanced, with an updated barcode scanner allowing customers to scan up to 500 items into their basket and get an instant price.
Liam Howley, marketing director at musicMagpie, said: “We know our four million customers love our apps and following the success of musicMagpie Store since its launch in January 2016, it was a natural progression to add our Store onto the app.
“Customers can now sell their old phone for the best price on the market, and within the same app, purchase their next smartphone at a fraction of the cost of new, with free delivery and 12-month warranty.
“After many years of being Amazon’s biggest global seller of pre-owned media, their recent fee increases to all media sellers have meant that even more outstanding value is offered to the customer when shopping directly on the musicMagpie store, and the new app gives them the best place to do that with prices from £1.09, plus free delivery.”
An Android version of the app will also be available to download in the coming months.
