Carbon Digital has delivered a multi-territory campaign for Standard Chartered Bank.

The MediaCityUK firm produced a film using Epic Games’ Unreal games engine, to run across Africa and South Asia.

“For the release of our new banking app, we were looking to break new ground and deliver something exceptional to our customers,” explained Kharsim Yousef, Head of SC Design.

“The team at Carbon Digital have delivered an incredible, cutting-edge production for the release of our new consumer banking app. This second phase of the work spans 5 territories and was produced using real-time visual effects which went above and beyond our expectations. We are delighted by the result and are now working on a further five countries.”

The film used realistic renditions of Hong Kong, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.

“Last year we invested in the development of a real-time production pipeline which changed the way we deliver VFX. With over two decades of experience in both game art production and high-end visual effects, this was a perfect fit for us,” added Paul McHugh.

“It’s a dream scenario when a client like Standard Chartered comes along looking to innovate and with such high expectation on the output, it’s an incredible campaign to be part of.”
