Manchester marketing agency Social Chain has raised $2 million investment from German talent management firm NVC.
Christian Grobel, managing director at NVC, will take a place on the board at Social Chain.
Social Chain plans to use the investment to break into new markets overseas, starting with Germany, and to grow their team from 35 to 80 inside a year.
The company will open an office in Berlin this spring.
Steve Bartlett, CEO of Social Chain said: “Germany is an emerging powerhouse, currently having the strongest economy in Europe and the second largest from an ad spend point of view.
“Syncing with NVC in Berlin will enable us to gain access to their high-profile influencers and drive the business forward overseas”.
Social Chain plans to spend any surplus money on acquiring new media, expanding their Manchester office and investing in new technology.
Social Chain was established in November 2014 and has been profitable since the start .
Its average employee age is just 22.
