Move over sports division, instead brand building agency Smoking Gun’s homes and interiors team has been appointed to promote the latest World Cup to hit UK shores, the Interflora World Cup.
The Interflora World Cup is the world’s most prestigious floral design competition, and it heads to the UK for the very first time, at Manchester Central from September 7-9.
It promises floristry as you’ve never seen it before, with 20 competitors from countries including the UK, South Korea, Peru, Canada and Finland battling it out to create the most elite, cutting-edge floral designs. “Imagine the Olympics crossed with the Chelsea Flower Show, then add extra drama,” Smoking Gun suggested.
Erica Nicholson, senior brand manager at Interflora said: “The Interflora World Cup is the flagship event in the competitive floristry world, bringing together the greatest floral designers from across the globe.”
Smoking Gun MD Rick Guttridge added: “Who knew there could be so much drama and back stories in the world of competitive floristry? The colour and characters involved are ripe for our blend of immersive storytelling and my team has hit the ground running securing widespread coverage with the angles we’ve unearthed, with so much more to come.”
