Smoking Gun has been appointed by global animal healthcare brand, MSD, to deliver a multi-channel consumer and trade campaign in the UK.

The US business, which develops innovative products and services to prevent, treat and control diseases across all major farm and companion animal species, handed the Manchester agency the account after a four-way pitch.

Smoking Gun will handle the brand’s companion animal portfolio comms across consumer, trade and social channels. This includes campaigns such as The Big Tick Project and Pet Diabetes Month.

Amanda Melvin, marketing manager at MSD, said: “The decision to appoint Smoking Gun was unanimous. We were all really impressed by the team’s specialist pet sector experience and this was demonstrated in its research and insights which identified a unique and campaignable opportunity across both our trade and consumer audiences.”
