Online what’s on and ticketing outlet, Skiddle, has partnered with VisitBlackpool to sell exclusive tickets to the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On.
The Lancashire firm will be selling “Golden Circle” admission tickets for the event.
“Whilst Skiddle sell for thousands of gigs, club nights and festivals UK wide, working in partnership with local events is incredibly important to our businesses and our staff – many of whom live and work in the Blackpool and Fylde area and grew up visiting the Illuminations,” said Richard Dyer, co-founder and director of Skiddle.
“The Switch-On is one of the UK’s most spectacular events and we can’t wait to be involved in 2018 and beyond.”
The switch-on marks the start of 66 nights of illuminations in the town, with more than 3m visitors expected.
“We are looking forward to working with Skiddle this year on our Golden Circle offer giving us a more streamlined approached to our ticketing for this annual event,” added Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council.
