Sedulo and The Candidate sponsor Prolific North’s Tech Companies to Watch 2023

Tech Companies to Watch 2023

We are delighted to announce business advisory firm Sedulo and returning sponsor The Candidate, are sponsoring this year’s Tech Companies to Watch event.

Following a highly successful event last year, we will be shining a spotlight on a fresh wave of Northern tech start-ups poised for success within a list that will be revealed at a second edition of this event in October.

Natalie Metcalf, marketing manager at marketing and technology recruitment consultancy The Candidate, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Prolific North’s Tech Companies to Watch list for a second year running.

“The Candidate continues to be supportive of start-up and SMEs, helping them to grow their teams with talent whilst also expanding alongside them – which in turn allows the sector to flourish. With our deep understanding and solid reputation in the data and technology industry, we are excited to be involved in discovering this year’s top tech start-ups across the region.”

For Sedulo, senior business development manager Russell McGrath, said: “We are excited to continue to support the excellent work conducted by Prolific North by sponsoring their program of autumn events and awards. Commencing with sponsorship of the ‘Tech Companies To Watch’ list and event, Sedulo will also support the upcoming Tech Awards and Marketing Awards.

“Our experience working with Prolific North has been excellent. The people and companies we meet through our involvement are precisely those we enjoy working with – innovative, growing businesses who match the values we hold highly at Sedulo.

“We are certain that the upcoming events will be fantastic, enjoyable events which also place Sedulo at the heart of the business community we work with best.”

Last year’s event united tech founders from every corner of the North to celebrate, see the final list revealed before publication and hear expert insights from a fantastic panel of industry leaders, such as Matillion’s co-founder and CTO Ed Thompson ; Praetura Ventures operational partner, Colin Greene;  FinTech North co-founder Julian Wells; and Liz Scott, formerly Tech Nation’s client engagement director.

Although the list is not definitive or a ranking, we will once again be identifying and celebrating ambitious tech start-ups that are thriving with a great idea or solution.

The editorial team at Prolific North will be doing its own research, alongside trusted and independent observers of the Northern tech sector.

The deadline for nominations from companies who wish to be considered for inclusion in this year’s list has now ended. Please make sure you join us to find out if your company made the list on 19 October here.
