Science and tech office specialist, Sciontec, has expanded its serviced workspace offering, Sciontec AI, in The Spine.
KQ Liverpool’s spin out development company has agreed a new letting with the University of Liverpool on the 10th floor. The 5000sq ft of space includes 75 private workstations, breakout spaces, a kitchenette, phone booths and 4 glass meeting rooms.
“We are delighted to be able to provide an increased offering for serviced office type accommodation with flexible terms, and we will continue to work with our partners to meet this ongoing market demand,” said Leanne Katsande Head of Commercial at Sciontec.
“Welcoming the University of Liverpool to The Spine adds another level of dynamism to the Sciontec AI community, and it’s fantastic to see another customer expanding within our workspaces.”
The University of Liverpool is a co-owner of Sciontec, along with Bruntwood SciTech, Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool City Council. The firm also owns and operates Liverpool Science Park and is developing HEMISPHERE, Liverpool’s first operational net zero carbon office building at Paddington Village.
Sciontec AI was officially launched at The Spine last year, within the Royal College of Physicians’ space on the first and second floors of the building, which is located in Paddington Village at the heart of the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) Innovation District.
“It is fantastic to see the joint vision of Sciontec AI workspace at The Spine go from strength to strength, mirroring our drive to actively promote and create a thriving workspace that attracts and retains a highly-skilled workforce, whilst being a leading example of a healthy workplace,” said Ian Bullock, CEO of The Royal College of Physicians.
“Our commitment to this strategic partnership has always been about creating a thriving community that positively impacts growth in the region. It has matured as we work closely with Sciontec in providing a unique home for an innovative community of health and life sciences, FinTech, digital and professional services organisations, whose 250+ employees benefit from the outstanding facilities on site at The Spine, along with wrap-around innovation and growth support provided by KQ Liverpool.
“We are excited to welcome the University of Liverpool into The Spine, and look forward to collaborative opportunities that will naturally present.”
