Sage Group is partnering with an online educational platform to help students get into employment.
globalbridge was launched late last year by former teacher, Ben Mason. It was designed as a safe place where students can showcase their skills and engage with businesses.
“We’re delighted to have signed up another high-profile business in the form of Sage Group. The response to our platform has been nothing short of amazing. I’m very passionate about education and career aspiration, and through working with regional authorities our goal is to see every educational establishment and every business in the country digitally connected, with the North East at the forefront,” explained Newcastle-based Mason.
“The recent careers strategy released by the Department for Education has identified that careers advice within education needs improving. It also needs consistency across educational establishments. Employers and universities want to find talent earlier but are struggling to find the best way to engage with schools and students.”
The platform was piloted with Teesside Learning Trust, in partnership with Tees Valley Combined Authority.
