Channel 4 has announced a new four-part satirical series presented by television judge, Rob Rinder.

The Rob Rinder Show (working title), will see Rinder cast his eye over current events, promising to mix his “razor-sharp legal mind and hilarious hot takes.”

Joined by a host of celebrity guests, it will look at news stories, viral trends and other talking points.

The commission follows Rinderland and Rob Rinder’s Good Year Bad Year.

“I am thrilled beyond belief that Channel 4 have entrusted sorting out the world into my normal sized hands. Given the state of the current global leaders, this feels exactly right, and I look forward to the controversy of considering both sides of any argument,” he said.

The 4 x 60 minute series was commissioned by Channel 4’s Syeda Irtizaali, Commissioning Editor for Entertainment and TV Events and Tom Beck, Head of Live Events and Commissioning Editor for Entertainment.

“Rob’s acerbic tongue and straight-talking approach makes him just the man we need to steer us through these rocky times. We are delighted to be working with him on a series that is set to be hilarious, insightful and no doubt, very cutting,” added Beck.

It will be made by Expectation, which is headed up by Peter Fincham and Tim Hincks.
