In The Style has named Phoebe Russell as its new Marketing Director.
The former Brand Director at Rise at Seven joins the Manchester online fashion brand “to guide [it] towards profitability.”
“Phoebe is a key hire in the evolution of the In The Style business,” said Managing Director, Ben Armstrong.
“She will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive marketing strategy to further engage the existing consumers and to attract a new audience for the brand. With her background in fashion both in-house and agency, we are excited to see the innovation she brings to the table.”
Russell has previously been Global Social Lead at Nasty Gal and Global Head of Brand at LookFantastic.
“I’m really excited to join the brand at this pivotal time in its journey, from floating in March 2021 to coming back under private ownership,” she said.
“What Adam built is nothing short of incredible, pioneering the influencer marketing and celebrity contribution model at a time when no one else was doing it. Now, it will be my job to break through the sea of sameness which spans the fashion industry and find our new North Star to accelerate the brand’s growth. Innovation is at the heart of the brand, and I’m honoured to lead the next chapter.”
Russell will work closely with Armstrong and the wider Baaj Capital team.
Private investor, Baaj Capital, acquired the business for £1.2m last year, to avoid it falling into administration.
