DeliveryApp, the Rio Ferdinand-backed technology company disrupting the delivery landscape, has announced two significant additions to its senior leadership team.
Ryan Short joins as COO to lead same-day delivery expansion, bringing a wealth of experience in scaling operations and optimising supply chains during periods of rapid growth. At DeliveryApp, Short will lead the company’s growth into same-day ecommerce delivery services. This expansion is crucial for meeting the demands of online retailers seeking fast, reliable, and affordable delivery options for consumers. His vision will aim to position DeliveryApp as a leader in providing scalable and cost-efficient delivery solutions that set new standards for the industry.
“I’m thrilled to join DeliveryApp at such a pivotal moment in its growth. Same-day delivery is the future of ecommerce, and I’m eager to bring my experience to a company that is not only innovating but truly committed to enhancing value for retailers and consumers alike,” he said.
Meanwhile, Alex Vassiliev is appointed chief business development officer with a brief to accelerate strategic growth and partnerships. Vassiliev, a strategic leader with deep expertise in global expansion and ecommerce, joins DeliveryApp having previously worked at organisations such as Alibaba, JD.com, Yandex, and FJX Group.
He has been instrumental in launching successful cross-border ecommerce platforms and developing strategic growth initiatives. At Yandex, he played a key role in implementing global marketplace solutions, connecting thousands of merchants across borders.
In his new role, he will spearhead business development efforts, focusing on forming strategic partnerships and expanding DeliveryApp’s footprint within the ecommerce industry. His leadership will be pivotal in scaling the company’s delivery management platform, which is powered by a network of over 20,000 drivers and a robust infrastructure of hyperlocal micro hubs, enabling fast and reliable deliveries.
“Our platform is changing the way goods are delivered, and I’m thrilled to join a company that is leading the charge in delivery innovation. I look forward to fostering partnerships and driving growth initiatives that add value to both businesses and their customers,” Vassiliev said,
