The head of agency at The Media Octopus has left to branch out on his own.
Richard Wood is launching a new growth and venture marketing agency in Manchester after two years at the agency.
He told Prolific North that the new venture, Grain, would give him the opportunity to work with a couple of tech startups on an equity basis as well as developing partnerships with clients.
He said: “The last two years with The Media Octopus have been amazing. We built up the agency from scratch, winning a number of awards and developing a great team across both inbound and outbound marketing channels. We secured several high profile, global clients, delivered some great campaigns and also had a lot of fun along the way. The Media Octopus is a great agency with big ambitions, it was great to lead its growth.”
Having previously worked with brands ranging from The Financial Times, G4S, Travelers and Ford, Wood, also a Forever Manchester Ambassador says: “Grain will work in partnership with clients that excite us and that we feel we can add real value to, across both brand and customer acquisition campaigns, developing digital strategies to help them grow and drive their businesses forward.
“Our small team is growing quickly and we’re already looking to take on some more senior roles to match client growth, both locally and globally.”
Grain is based in KIng Street
