Manchester-based agency Ultimate has revealed Richard Newman as its new CEO as the company undertakes the process of a mangement takeover.
Richard Newman, MD of Ultimate’s sister company Salesworx, has taken over as CEO of Ultimate, while founder Matthew Townsend steps back to “pursue other business interests.”
Townsend said: “For over two decades we have seen Ultimate go from strength-to-strength thanks to our incredible team and the support of our valued clients, I’m excited for what the future holds for Ultimate.”
Ultimate, which has recently moved its HQ to Manchester City Centre, said that Townsend will retain a consultative role, while Jon Walker will remain as Managing Director as part of a newly formed senior leadership team.
Newman has over 23 years of leadership experience across sales and marketing, working with leading global brands such as Microsoft and Sony. He said: “We have an exciting future ahead of us with a clear strategy to enable us to add even more value to our clients, continue to develop and grow the team, and deliver top-line growth.”
Ultimate was founded in 1994 and works with clients including PZ Cussons, Chester Zoo, Darwin Escapes and ITS Technology Group.
