Margaret Conway has been appointed by StudioCanal TV as its new Head of Physical Production.
Conway is currently Head of Production at StudioCanal’s Manchester-based Red Production Company.
In the new role, Conway will be responsible for growing its television-based business.
“The appointment of Margaret Conway to the role of head of physical production for StudioCanal TV marks an important moment in our evolution as a TV studio,” said M-K Kennedy, Executive Managing Director of TV Series.
“We want broadcasters, platforms, and other partners to know that we are officially structuring our studio for growth and for the long term. Starting with physical production, we are creating reliable structures and consistency in our approach to execution — regardless of territory — so that our partners will know what to expect when we embark on an ambitious series together.”
Kennedy joined StudioCanal earlier this year from Netflix, where she spent 7 years – most recently as VP of Production for Europe.
Conway has more than 30 years’ experience in British television. She joined Red Production Company in 2022, with credits including Cold Feet, The Bay, Make Me Famous, Dalziel and Pascoe, and Brassic.
When she joined Red, Sarah Doole described her as “one of the best in the business” who “may have grown up in Ireland, but this part of the world has become her adopted home.”
