An all-star cast has been announced for Red Production Company’s new ITV drama, Finding Alice.
Joining Keeley Hawes are Joanna Lumley, Nigel Havers, Jason Merrells, Gemma Jones, Kenneth Cranham and Sharon Rooney.
“To have such a strong calibre of actors join the cast alongside Keeley to breathe life into these complex characters is incredibly exciting, and I look forward to audiences meeting them,” said Nicola Shindler, Red Production Company CEO and executive producer.
The 6-part drama has been created by Roger Goldby, Hawes and Simon Nye, with Nye and Goldby writing it.
It follows a woman whose husband’s sudden and accidental death unearths a trail of secrets, debt, suspicion and criminality.
MediaCityUK-based Red Production Company is producing, in association with Bright Pictures TV, Buddy Club Productions and Genial Productions.
It begins filming in London this week.
Goldby (The Durrells, The Musketeers, Call The Midwife) will direct episodes 1, 2 and 3, with Juliet May (Motherland) also directing. It will be produced by Margot Gavan Duffy (The Queen and I, Two Doors Down, Boy Meets Girl).
