Andrew Critchley, the Managing Director of Red Production Company, is set to leave later this month.
He’s been at the MediaCityUK-based company since its foundation in 1998.
As MD and Company Secretary, he’s concentrated on the commercial side of the business, alongside founder, Nicola Shindler.
This has seen it grow from critically acclaimed cult hit of Russell T Davies’ Queer as Folk, through a move into mainstream with Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax and Clocking Off.
He held a 5% stake in the firm, up until its acquisition by StudioCanal in 2013.
“On behalf of the team at Red, I would like to thank Andrew for all his hard work, loyalty and his significant contribution to the success of our company over the years. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said Nicola Shindler, CEO of Red Production Company and CEO of StudioCanal UK.
