The PHA Group has been appointed by sustainable performance wear brand Reflo.
Born in November 2021, Reflo turns single-use plastics destined for landfill and discarded coffee grounds into technical sports apparel. With its performance wear predominantly crafted from recycled polyester, Reflo’s fabrics use 50% less energy and produce 70% less carbon than virgin polyester, requiring no new oil.
The appointment sees The PHA Group running an always-on press office, including product placement, founder profiling, thought leadership, ambassador activation and influencer engagement.
Reflo designs seasonless styles to create cross-functional products that can comfortably be worn from one season to another, indoors and out, for multiple activities or just everyday. Style lines “Flo” and form around the body, complimenting shape and aiding movement and performance.
Reflo’s co-founder, Rory Macfadyen, said: “Reflo was founded to disrupt an industry full of ‘greenwashing’ about sustainability. Every aspect of our business strives to make a positive imprint with concrete action. We have been on a path of sustained growth since launching and look forward to working together with The PHA Group to continue on that journey.”
Tom Inskip, director of sport and fitness at The PHA Group, added: “Reflo really is at the forefront of sports apparel, with comfortable and breathable products that are contributing to a reduced impact on our environment. It’s a very exciting time for the business and we are looking forward to working closely with Rory and the team over the coming months.”
