Godel has revealed a 57% increase in turnover, reaching £21.7m for the 2018 year end.

Manchester software development company said that this was the fourth year in a row that growth has exceeded 50%.

“The company goes from strength to strength and has won some extremely high-profile clients in 2018 including Voiteq, AccessPay, Secret Sales, MVF, Utilitywise and comparison site, Comparethemarket.com – whilst our existing clients have also been scaling their requirements with us,” explained Neil McMurdo, MD, Godel.

“Godel works in partnership with these brands to share knowledge, experience and software engineering skills from its nearshored development centres of excellence in Belarus.

“There remains a shortage of experienced, senior software developers in the UK – those that do exist are fought over and can often name their price in the job market, pricing them out of the labour market for many fast-growing companies. Godel helps them deliver the engineering skills required to scale rapidly in line with customer requirements and maintain their growth.”

McMurdo became MD of the company earlier this year, when Neil Turvin moved into the executive chairman role.

Last year Godel opened another centre of excellence in Gomel, Belarus bringing the company’s employee total to around 800 people across six offices in a total of five locations.
