The Pie Factory at MediaCityUK had another record year of filming in 2013, following an increase in television and commercial productions shooting at the site.
Its 3 sound stages were used by Hebburn (Channel X), Car Share (Peter Kay), Give Out Girls (Big Talk Productions) and Daredevil (CBBC), Something Special (CBeebies) as well as a series of commercials.
“It has been great to see many returning productions back for the second, third and fourth series – with a few new shows and pilots utilising our spaces (many hoping to return in 2014) and music videos,” stated Dean Sinacola, studio manager at The Pie Factory.
“The MediaCityUK business community has rapidly grown over the past year and the increase in companies moving in across the site has played a significant impact on the amount of inquiries and bookings we’ve had – highlighting the integral role The Pie Factory plays at MediaCityUK. We look forward to welcoming more productions this coming year”.
The Peel Group-owned facility is so-called because it used to be the freshbake factory before the warehouses were transformed into a studio space.
