Real Radio has announced it will be giving away its biggest ever single cash prize of £50,000 for a single listener, in a new on-air competition, Fifty Grand Friday. The competition will roll across Real’s stations in Yorkshire, the North West, Newcastle and North Wales.
Starting in June and running across the month, each Real Radio Breakfast team on the Real Radio network, will be playing a daily ‘Fact Or Fiction’ competition to find their region’s finalist.
The five finalists will compete against each other on Darren Parks’ mid-morning show on 28 June 28, with one lucky winner picking up the £50,000 cash prize.
Chris Stevens, deputy group programme director at Real Radio said: “This really is a life changing prize for the finalist who wins this competition.
“We’re very proud to be giving our listeners the chance to win this fantastic cash prize. I know it’s going to provide some compelling listening and some real nail biting moments for the finalists on the 28th.”
Last week the Competition Commission announced that four of Real’s stations in the North would have to be sold or disposed of to enable Global’s acquisition to proceed.
