A listener has scooped Real Radio’s biggest ever cash prize after winning its ‘Fifty Grand Friday’ competition.
Gillian Tetlow, from St Helens, won £50,000 as the month-long ‘Fact or Fiction competition came to a conclusion on Friday. Each breakfast show on the Real network took part, with the five finalists competing against each other on Darren Parks’ mid-morning show.
Chris Stevens, deputy group programme director for Real Radio, said: “We are absolutely delighted for Gillian. This really is a life-changing prize and Gillian has told us she’s planning on treating her girls to a Disneyland holiday, a new car and lots more. We’re very proud to have given our listeners the chance to win this fantastic cash prize.”
