Ramarketing has appointed a new Managing Director, as company founder, Raman Sehgal, moves to America to set up its Boston office.
Emma Banks joins after 16 years at Datatrial, where she was Chief Operating Officer for 3 years and CEO for the last 7.
“Emma is a well-known industry figure with a wealth of senior level experience in growing a technology company into a highly successful international operation, making her an ideal candidate for the role,” said Founder Raman Sehgal, who’s taken on the newly created role of Global President.
“Emma will manage our strategic European growth plans, ensuring we continue to deliver world class service to our clients. Her warm and energetic leadership style and solid moral compass make her a great fit for our company culture.
“Given her experience, Emma fully understands the value of the US market in helping accelerate our expansion. Bringing her on board to run day-to-day operations enables me to focus on building our North American business.”
Sehgal set up the Newcastle-based agency in 2009, specialising in design, digital and PR services in the biotech and pharma sectors.
Last year it trebled the size of its Newcastle base and opened a new office in Manchester.
“This is an amazing opportunity for me personally, and I am looking forward to the challenges. My role is to continue to deliver exceptional service and nurture the unique culture that makes ramarketing a world-class business,” said Banks.
“My experience of running a highly successful company supporting global clinical development programmes, will help me to support the ramarketing team as we make the transition into an international operation.
“This is a successful, growing business and a very exciting time for the company and its staff. I look forward to playing my part in its continued growth and success.”
