Quantum dot tech firm names Chief Operating Officer

Cheshire tech company, Quantum Science, has named Billy McLaughlin as its first COO.

He joins the Warrington-based firm with 30 years experience including as MD at Sivers Photonics and senior positions at SmartKem, Motorola and Global Foundries.

He’ll be responsible for leading its commercial operations as it continues to develop its INFIQ® infrared QD technology. 

Quantum Science develops and commercialises quantum dots, nanomaterials and technologies for the machine vision and sensing markets.

The company is based at Sci-Tech Daresbury in Warrington.
