The Champions Awards has had so many incredible winners over the years that have gone on to achieve global successes.
Known as the original Prolific North Awards, it all started back in 2013 at the very same venue at The Point. Winners on the night included Citypress, picking up the trophy for Large PR Agency. For 2023 we’ve reintroduced some special categories in recognition of the North’s thriving broadcast and media sectors – previous winners in these categories include Nine Lives Media, awarded for its TV programme ‘Me, My Dad & His Kidney’.
2021 marked a spectacular return to live events following 2 years of Covid – hosted by Hits Radio presenter and DJ Hattie Pearson.
Some of the amazing teams who picked up awards included The Gate Films & Manifest who were awarded Advert of the Year for a boundary-breaking campaign with Tommee Tippee ‘The Boob Life’ – and AnonyMind, swooping in to collect the Tech for Good Award.
Last year’s Champions Awards was another night to remember, where nearly 600 gathered at the high-profile ceremony at Emirates Old Trafford. Compered by Apprentice winner, entrepreneur and fashion designer Sian Gabbidon, winners on the night included Silverchip – taking home the award for Tech Company of the Year – and the award for Large Integrated Agency of the Year which was awarded to Manifest.
As always, we have an independent and rigorous judging process with a panel filled with industry experts which you can read more about here. We’ve been thrilled to welcome some new faces this year – all experts in their respective fields.
As we gear up for another night of celebrations in May to mark 10 years of the Champions Awards, there’s still time to enter before the Early bird deadline closes on 22 January.
Take a look at all the categories now and make sure you get your entries in!
