This year’s Prolific North Tech Awards will be hosted at the Radisson Edwardian Manchester, an iconic hotel on the site of the Free Trade Hall, right in the heart of the city.
If the name sounds familiar, the Free Trade Hall was built on the site of the Peterloo Massacre and has in its history hosted the Hallé Orchestra, Charles Dickens, Benjamin Disraeli, suffragettes, Winston Churchill, Bob Dylan’s infamous ‘Judas’ performance, the UK debut of KISS, and that rarely mentioned 1976 Sex Pistols gig. If you’re from the North it’s safe to assume you already know that story. Indeed, if you’re from within 100 miles of Manchester you probably know at least 4,000 people who were absolutely, definitely there, including several family members.
Enough about history though. The Tech Awards will look to the future, uniting hundreds of innovators across the North’s thriving tech scene to celebrate their successes on November 28.
The awards, which celebrate the best campaigns, innovations and teams, have grown immensely over the years as the tech sector in the North continues to pave the way globally.
The last few tickets for the event are still on sale, but only for another week – ticket sales close at midnight on November 14, so get yours now, and find out more about this year’s event, judges and nominees here.
