From celebrating brilliant designs, memorable productions or trailblazing individuals, there are a range of categories you can enter at this year’s Prolific North Creative Awards.
First launched in 2023 with input from leading industry experts, the Creative Awards unite the creative scene, showcase brilliant ideas, and pave the way for aspiring young creatives.
The early bird deadline to enter the Creative Awards is on 26 February, where we’ll be recognising the talented individuals, teams and companies across the creative sector in the North of England and Scotland.
As well as categories recognising creative companies and campaign, take a look at our dedicated awards for designs, productions and broadcasts, and individuals below:
- Effective Design – This category will recognise impactful commercial design across all formats and includes data visualisation, graphics and/or motion design.
- Experiential / Immersive Design – This category is for immersive large or small-scale digital experiences and/or events that have engaged, educated or strengthened relationships with your audience.
- Inspired Space – The judges will be looking for creative spaces with a difference, spaces that promote creativity and wellbeing, or with a wow factor.
- Copywriting – This category recognises exceptional copy at the core of a campaign/media production.
- Animation / Graphics – This award will go to striking animation or graphic work.
- Packaging – Sponsored by Sun Branding – The winner of this category will be an exceptional packaging design that blends aesthetic appeal with practicality, enhancing the overall consumer experience.
- Website Design – This award is for a website design that is able to captivate and inspire visitors with cutting-edge technologies that elevate the online experience.
Recognising productions and broadcasts
- Video/film/ad: Short and long-form – Submissions for this award can be made across two different subcategories: short-form (under 2 minutes) and long-form (over 2 minutes).
- Audio – This category is for winning podcasts, music composition, sound design, or any audio-based creation that’s captivated audiences.
- Broadcasting programme – Entertainment – This category will reward an outstanding entertainment programme or series whether it’s a new show or established programme.
- Broadcasting programme – News and factual – This award will go to an individual news programme, investigation, or coverage of a specific news event or current affair.
- Creative Rising Star – Sponsored by Dentsu Creative – This category is free to enter, and will shine a spotlight on an individual that’s a rising star in the North’s creative sector. You can nominate yourself, or someone else in the sector. Please note to be eligible for this category, entrants must have under three years of experience in the industry.
- Creative Trailblazer Award – This category is free to enter and will go to an individual that has made a big impact on the North’s creative sector. You can also nominate yourself or someone else for this category.
